Video Conferencing

Video conferencing is available to utulsa.edu users with Microsoft Teams, Blackboard Collaborate and Zoom.

Blackboard Collaborate

All current students, faculty, and staff are included in our license for Blackboard Collaborate.

Collaborate is a video conferencing tool integrated in the Harvey Academic Commons designed for educators and allows for recordings

Suggested use: Preferred tool for Academic Use and provides consistency for students

  • Integrated with Harvey in every course/org enabling the campus to use without additional cost or license management
  • Recordings are available to students in the course and attendance can be taken automatically from the sessions
  • Provides one consistent tool for students. Collaborate can easily be enabled for student groups

Visit the blackboard support site for information on how to setup and configure a collaborate meeting.

Microsoft Teams Meetings

All current students, faculty, and staff are included in our license for Microsoft Teams.

You can access Teams through office.utulsa.edu a browser (Chrome or Edge recommended), or download the application for your computer OS (Windows, Mac, Linux). Teams is also available as an iOS and Android client. Please note that mobile versions of Teams are not full-featured, but they do allow for participation in meetings.

Teams meetings have no length limitations and can currently accommodate up to 250 participants.

Suggested use: Preferred tool for Office/Administrative use and campus collaboration

Zoom

Available to purchase when Collaborate or Teams does not work for certain use cases, TU does not have a site license for Zoom as it is cost prohibitive at this time

Zoom is a video conferencing cloud platform that allows for recordings

Suggested use: Video conference needs that cannot be met through Teams or Collaborate

Zoom Pro License:

  • Licenses are $15/user/year
  • Meetings have no length limitations and can accommodate up to 300 participants
