What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is our hub for teamwork — a workspace for real-time collaboration and communication, meetings, file and app sharing, and even the occasional emoji!

Team

A Team in Microsoft Teams is a place for your team to collaborate via posts, files, or other apps.

Chat

Individual or group chats can be used to communicate instantly with other TU students, faculty, or staff.

Calendar

This calendar displays the same information you see on your Outlook calendar.

Calls

Make and receive voice or video calls with other TU students, faculty, or staff. Faculty and staff are also assigned phone numbers that work through Teams to make and receive external phone calls through the Public Switched Telephone Network.

Files

Access to your OneDrive files or other recent files across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

TU Hub

Access our intranet, Hurricane Hub. Find shared information from across the TU community including sites, documents, news and events.

Other Apps

Tasks by Planner and To Do,  Approvals, and many other applications can be used through Teams.
