Request files using OneDrive

If you need to retrieve documents from others, you can use the file request feature in OneDrive.

Anyone with a file request link can send you a file (internal or external), but the link will only work for 30 days.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to onedrive.utulsa.edu
  2. Create a folder (or use an existing one)
  3. Select the folder in which you want files to be uploaded (see step 3 below)
  4. Select "Request files" in the menu at the top of your browser window

5. Name your request (something that you want users to see when they click the link to let them know what you are requesting from them) and click "Next"

6. Select the method you want to use to request your files

a. Copy the link that is created to share in Teams, Email, SharePoint, or elsewhere with the people from whom you want to request files (see Option a below)

b. Or send it via email by typing in email addresses and a message)
